5 & 6 year olds – MUST have an accompanying adult to help them clip in and out. The adult must watch the safety brief. (The clipper does not pay).
7 – 17 year olds –this age group can normally use the self-clipping “belay-mate” system unaided, so can participate without an accompanying adult. We therefore prefer non-climbing adults accompanying this age group to watch from outside the arena.
SEND Participants –it is up to the participants, and those accompanying SEND participants, to judge if the session is appropriate. We normally ask that accompanying adults of SEND participants come in to the arena to assist with safety and clipping in and out. Accompanying adults must watch the safety brief.
