First Time at Clip ‘n Climb?
Here’s a handy step-by-step explainer:
1: Book Online
Always remember to book online before you arrive. Slots get booked up so it’s never a good idea to turn up without a booking. We have slots running on the weekends, in the holidays and after school.
Clip ‘n Climb is only suitable for 5 year olds and above. 5 & 6 year olds will need a non-participating adult to assist them in the arena.
Check out the Toddler Play Area if you have children above and below 5 years.

2: Arrive On Time
Each slot is 1hr 30mins which includes time to get harnessed up and run through a group safety briefing. The group could have up to 24 participants in total, so it can take a while for your instructors to get everyone ready.
3: Watch the Briefing
All participants (and their helpers) MUST watch the safety briefing before the group can start climbing. The briefing will explain the rules, how to clip in and out, and how to get down from the walls.
If your children are under 7, or have a special educational need or disability (SEND), you may have to assist them for the duration of the session.
4: Climb!
You get 55min in the Clip ‘n Climb Arena. The instructors will be there to supervise and to directly run the “Stairway to Heaven” and “Drop Slide”.
The “Drop Slide” is sold as a bolt-on activity. You will be provided with a “slide suit” and will be winched up as far as you want to go and then you DROP back to the bottom.
The “Drop Slide” is only recommended for 7 year olds and above as griping the winch can be difficult for those with small hands.
5: Get a Coffee
The perfect place to wait if you’re not participating, our café provides great coffee, cake and hot food. Relax on the viewing gallery where you’ll find seating, Wi-Fi and a great view over the whole centre.
6: Toddlers and Adults?
If you have under 5s you can book a place on the Toddler Play Area with its large sprung floor and toys to keep them entertained. Be aware though that the Toddler Play Area is self-supervised so you will need to stay in the area with them at all times.
Adults can join in on the Clip ‘n Climb sessions too. So why not challenge your kids and see if you can out climb them!
7: Session Ends
You session will end 5mins before the end of your time slot. This allows us to de-kit and de-brief the group.
We are sure everyone will be tired out and keen to grab a slushy for the journey home!
